It has definitely been forever since I last blogged! April 12 is the actual date of my last entry & it’s now June! Crazy how fast time flies by! Not much has changed, only that I got a new job that I started May 3 & I absolutely love it. I work at Kids Town Learning Center, and I am a teacher’s assistant for toddlers between the ages of 1.5 & 2. I’m also in summer school & hopefully I’ll be graduating in Dec *fingers crossed*
I guess I’m going to divide it up with different posts, so you won’t get overwhelmed! This post is about Ryan’s birthday. Four of the most important people in my life have birthdays in May. Ryan (May 8), Jeng (May 12), Sheryl (May 22), and Shirley (May 25)! It was definitely an exhausting / expensive month.
On May 7 @ midnight a bunch of us (Me, Ryan, Sheryl, Nate, JP, Kevin, AD, Marc, Megan, Chris, Richard & Tino) decided to watch Iron Man. It was sold out @ AMC Lynn, so we drove out to AMC Hampton. Everything was going great, til I got sick. I actually fell asleep on Ryan for a majority of the movie, which never happens since I love watching movies. We went home shortly after the movie was done. Ryan ended up staying the night to make sure I was okay, which was so sweet! I ended up calling off work so I could rest, since we had plans to go out that night. Later on that night, regardless of my fever, we went and ate at Jade Villa with Sheryl, Katrina, AD, Marc, Megan, Ehrl, Chris, and Nate. We bought chicken and corn soup, beef friend rice, salt and spicy pork chops, and shrimp dumplings. It was all yummy! We ended up going home because I still had a fever, but everyone came over for some beer.
Thankfully, when I woke up on Sat (May 8) I was fine! His birthday always falls on Mother’s Day weekend, so we spent the morning / afternoon at Anna’s house with Espellorieldia working on flower arrangements for our moms. It was really fun and chill. Auntie Lourdes baked a cake for Ryan! Angie & Elspeth decorated it for him. It was so cute =) Then, after running a few errands with JP, I went home to get ready for Ryan’s dinner. While we were waiting for the others, Sheryl, Katrina, and I had a mini photoshoot in my backyard. Then, we (Me, Ryan, Sheryl, Katrina, AD, Megan, Marc, Nikko, JP, Chris, Richard, and Tino) ended up going to Dockside Restaurant, and we ate outside! Despite the weather being a tad chilly, it was really nice! There was an acoustic performance, and we would sing-a-long to songs we knew. I ordered a steak, and Ryan got the seafood platter! It was all very delicious. Afterwards, those who were 21 and up stopped by Hot Tuna and had a few drinks. Everyone bought Ryan shots, and then we stopped by 7-11 to get beer, and Chris’s house to get the crown. Let’s just say everyone’s mission was successful! Haha 😉
May 9: Ryan & I woke up around 930. We ate breakfast & he went home around 10 to get ready for church. After church we went to Auntie Tessie’s house for Mother’s Day! We gave our moms the flower arrangements, and then the kids went to the cemetery to visit Nanay. Afterwards, we went to yo mama! I got cheesecake & it was delicious! We all went back to Auntie Tessie’s, hung out there for a little, and then we all went home.
